every year around this time (OK, just last year and this year) we are ready to head south for a dose of sun and warmer temperatures. we were toying with the idea today, even going so far as checking the weather channel for the forecast in various parts of the country. By far the best was phoenix, but i am sad to say, we have no family there who would be obligated to host their shriveling, white, northern relatives.
so here we stay, growing whiter, colder and more vitamin D deficient with each passing day. and if i have to hear of one more person talking about their wonderful trip to hawaii or california where it was sunny and 80, i just might fling myself onto some icicles (which are right outside my door).

I’m right there with ya, sister. I am so ready for some WARM weather! And I don’t have four feet of snow outside my door, either!!! Maybe we should all plan a Disneyland trip or something crazy and regretful like that.
Come stay with us! You can have Bella and Noah’s room. Better yet, see if you can live at Boone and Janelle’s while they are in…uh, another state. It’s not ultra warm here, but the sun is out and ready to kiss you on the cheeks!
Also, I have some relatives (Uncle Gene and Aunt Sharon) in Lake Havasu City, AZ if you want me to hook you up with staying with them! It’s supposed to be 76 at their house tomorrow!!!

Dude… go tanning… no, it’s not healthy but for those 15-20 min. you will feel like you are on a beach in hawaii so… fair trade LOL!
I agree with the tanning idea. Slather up with sunscreen and sit in that warm booth. It’s delightful. Uh, no pun intended.
Also, if it makes you feel a tad better it’ll be raining here all week starting tomorrow. That means flooding in the laundry room and back yard. Wahoo!

Another idea was one Joanne is going to do at her house….an “It’s Summer” girls party. You invite all your girl friends over, crank the heat way up, wear shorts and tanks, drink frozen beverages, do pedicures, eat summer foods, etc.

our house is a little chaotic now with crying newborn, etc…you should have my sister hook you up with our parents home in scottsdale for a little r & r in the sun if you are desperate. she is the golden child and gets her way all the time. much better to go through her =)
